Details of little projects that I take on, usually of some technical nature and the trials and tribulations of trying to accomplish something doable. In addition, some of the inbetweens of life that come up and have to be done, need to be done or want to done while doing something else. In other words, I try to do a lot, but end up being, "Jim Do Little".

The Stupidest Angel
Finished reading "The Stupidest Angel" by Christopher Moore, one of my favorite authors. This book was, as usual, hilarious. If you've never read any of his books, you should try him on for size.

Braylon Edwards
On Braylon Edwards:
P.S. To our knowledge, no coaches or wide receivers were actually hurt during this post, although we tried.
- Everybody is human. Most people break the law in some way.
- Sometimes people get angry and hit other people, been that way since the dawn of time
- Drops passes. In the NFL, if you are a receiver, you can't drop consistently. You catch consistently. Period. Duh!
P.S. To our knowledge, no coaches or wide receivers were actually hurt during this post, although we tried.
Sherrybaby
Watched a movie called "Sherrybaby" from netflix last night. Definitely not main stream, more like "Less Than Zero" or "21 Grams". Gritty. We both liked it for different reasons. Maggie Gyllenhaal was good.
Toshiba laptop fun
Started looking at a Toshiba laptop for a friend of mine. It boots up and goes to the desktop just fine except that the mouse and keyboard are unresponsive. I plugged in a mouse to the USB port and no change. I restarted (the on/off key works) and booted into safe with the same results. For those of you playing at home I'd like to point out that during boot time the keyboard seems to work (F8). Hmmmm! Who doesn't like a puzzle? Stay tuned, I'll get to the bottom of this. The Emijj's web site
Put up a web site for The Emijj yesterday. I registered the domain a couple days before that. It's not a finished product yet, small steps, right?

La Bodega
Finally made it to La Bodega in Tremont today. I ordered the sun dried tomato chicken wrap(#61) and Mary tried the roast beef(#62) as a wrap. The food was ready in about ten minutes and came wrapped in foil and butcher paper. We both preferred the chicken over the roast beef but we both like roast beef a little more cooked. However, that said, the beef tender and not stringy. The potato salad was good too. We look forward to exploring more of this menu. Their web site is here.

Windows 7 Launch Party
Sometime back, Microsoft sent me an invitation to host a window 7 launch party. I participated in their beta testing program for windows 7 and they must have felt obligated to extend me this courtesy. So I responded but on Wednesday got the email denying me my right to be a host. I knew the odds were steep but thought, what the hell. It's a good thing they didn't ask me for the list of people attending because we were going to round up all the bobble heads and other inanimate "people" we could find! We may still have one, haven't decided yet. My main attraction was the free edition of windows 7 ultimate anyway.
